Grey Lynn Farmers’ Market need your help

As a community owned and operated market, the market organisation requires the following volunteers;

  1. Secretary. A volunteer position currently requiring 3 to 4 hours per week. This will decrease to 2 to 3 hours in coming months. The job involves co-ordinating meetings, minuting the GLFM management committee’s weekly meetings, and conducting its official communication.  Contact Dion here.
  2. Membership Administrator. We require someone to help Anthea on the enquiries desk for 2 to 3 hours on Sunday mornings. This person will deal with membership administration and will preferably have some experience with Excel. A Laptop would also be a bonus.  Contact Anthea here.
  3. Food Hygiene Certificate. In order to raise funds and increase the amount of hot food available, we are looking for someone with a current food hygiene certificate to assist in setting up a regular hot food stall.  Contact Paul here.
  4. Hall decoration. Bunting flags are hung each week at 07:00am. and taken down at 01:00pm. It’s a 20min job, requiring two volunteers. A rotation system could be set up, and the people setting up don’t necessarily need to pack down.  Contact Kiri here.

Further information is available on the website: www.glfm.co.nz under the heading ‘volunteer vacancies’.
