Grey Lynn 2030 Week: Day 7
Walking tour of backgarden chooks
On the last day of the Grey Lynn 2030 Week Susie Thomas from Chickens at Home & Mandy McMullin from Wilton Street Community Garden will be taking a leisurely walking tour of gardens in Grey Lynn where chickens are being happily raised as pets and for fabulous eggs.
The tour is now fully booked but if you missed out please email SusieThomas@xtra.co.nz as there are plans underway to organise more tours.
The Grey Lynn 2030 Week officially ends this evening with Earth Hour 2010 at 8.30pm
Grey Lynn 2030 joins the global call to action to show our leadership that we are responsible for our future. Celebrate the end of a big week of community events at Malt Bar , Richmond Road our local supporting Earth Hour or switch the lights out at home.
You can also celebrate Earth Hour, at an event hosted by Heart of the City along with Britomart, Auckland City Council, MORE FM and WWF at Takutai Lawn in Britomart.
The free event will have live entertainment and will be a gathering point in Auckland City to view the Sky Tower lighting display and watch Auckland plunge into darkness
