‘Eye on the Ocean’ art exhibition at Jafa Cafe
Rio Rossellini is a renowned conservation cetacean artist who uses the rare pointillist technique to depict whales and dolphins against the backdrop of New Zealand. Also a whale and dolphin activist, Rio uses her art to highlight current plights of cetaceans, with the imminent extinction of New Zealand’s endemic 55 Maui’s dolphins high on her agenda. When not dotting away on her artwork Rio is busy attending attending marches and meetings with various conservation societies to help the cause. With artworks in private and public collections around the world, including that of HRH Prince Charles, Rio is happy to be able to share her current works in an exhibition at the Jafa Cafe.
1 April – 31 May, Jafa Cafe, 551 Richmond Rd, Grey Lynn
