Reclaiming Grey Lynn’s resources presentation with Warren Snow

Auckland Council has just signed off on a new Waste Management and Minimisation Plan for the Auckland region that has the potential to dramatically reduce the waste going to landfill and transform current unsustainable waste practices.

There are exciting opportunities in the Plan for community-led initiatives to turn our waste into valuable resources, develop new upcycling skills and create local jobs.  There are also many challenges to the implementation of the Plan by 2015.

Grey Lynn 2030 Waste Away group invite you to learn more about the Waste Plan with Warren Snow and find out how we can reclaim our resources in Grey Lynn with the development of a resource recover centre.

Warren from Envision NZ,  is New Zealand’s leading waste practitioner, who set up the Community Business and Environment Centre in Kaitaia.
