Empowering Food Resilience: Seed-Saving Workshop

On Sunday May 5th, local food and permaculture expert Robina McCurdy of Institute of Earthcare Education Aotearoa will be running a great seed-saving workshop from 11:00am to 12:30pm in the oval room of the Grey Lynn Community Centre in conjunction with the Grey Lynn Farmers Market. Workshop includes free heirloom seeds to take home, and you are welcome to bring seeds from your own garden to share and exchange.
The Seed-Saving workshop is part of a nationwide Localising Food tour run by the Institute of Earthcare Education Autearoa documenting local food initiatives throughout New Zealand.
A full day Empowering Local Food Resilience workshop on building local food networks in your area will also be held in Grey Lynn on Saturday May 4th from 9:00am- 4:30pm.
