Indian Cooking Classes at the Grey Lynn Farmers Market
Great news! Two series of Indian Vegetarian Cooking Classes coming up with two fantastic Indian chefs.
Indian Vegetarian Cooking with Varsha Belwalkar
The first series of classes will take place in August, with Indian chef Varsha Belwalkar. She will be focusing on quick, easy, healthy meals. Especially for this season are Hot / Warm Tomato Soup, Dals, Different types of Vegetables, Salads, and more. Food cooked will be based on regional cuisine from Mumbai – Marathi food, which uses fresh coconut and coriander.
August 4, 11, and 18th 11am- 12:30pm
Indian Vegetarian Cooking with Indira Vallabh
The second series of classes will take place in October focus on Gujarati food from Western India and will be taught by popular stallholder and Indian chef Indira Vallabh of Indira’s Indian Food. Foods that you will learn to prepare will include dal, chutneys, vegetable rice, vegetable curries, and more, full of early spring vegetables.
October 6, 13, and 20th 11am-12:30pm
