Western Springs College Waste Minimisation Project

Western Springs College sends around 648kg of waste to landfill every week!

Around 70% of this waste can be diverted through composting or recycling?
Thanks to the $55 000 grant received from the Waste Minimisation Fund,  administered by the Ministry for the
Environment, we are well on track to achieving this goal.
The grant has allowed us to employ a team of environmental consultants to work alongside our current waste heroes, Bridget Glasgow (Enviroschools facilitator) and Niki Harre (Associate Professor University of Auckland).

Sunshine, Ron and Lynn have been a welcome addition to the team.
