Day of Transition – Resilience

Transitioners have more than 15 years of experience in community-led change.

At times, it was joyful and fun, at times it was hard going. It was always an opportunity to learn and grow.

To celebrate and amplify this wealth of knowledge and experience, we are thrilled to attend the Day of Transition Practise in April 2025

We heard from Transitioners and Transition groups who’ve succeeded in making changes in their communities. Learn more about the practices and conditions which supported this and what they learned along the way.

We explored how to apply these practices and learnings in Waitemata.

Interstingly Emergency Resilience is a subject all over the world.  Our Japanese community ran a session called Strategies for Natural Disasters. Learning how to cook on fire and gas.
