The Grey Lynn Community Centre, located at 510 Richmond Road in Grey Lynn, Auckland, is a vibrant hub offering a wide array of services, programs, and spaces for the local community.
Established in 1975 and redeveloped in 2000, It provides various activities and support services, including a school holiday programmes, playgroups, classes and workshops. The centre also hosts support services such as the Citizens Advice Bureau, Justice of the Peace clinics, and Plunket.
For hire, the centre has several versatile spaces including a main hall (capacity 200), the Garden Room (capacity 70), the Oval Room, and the Balcony Room (both with a capacity of 20). These spaces are suitable for meetings, workshops, classes, functions, and more, and come equipped with tables, chairs, and AV equipment for an additional fee.
The Grey Lynn Community Centre is managed by the Grey Lynn Community Centre Trust. The building is owened by Auckland Councill. The Community Centre actively promotes sustainability through initiatives like battery and soft plastic recycling.
Every Sunday morning the centre comes alive as the venue for the Grey Lynn Farmers Market.
