There are a number of projects and groups that have worked on waste recycling, repairs and other waste areas. This is the Waste Away Group.

Cup Project

The Cup Project brought together local cafes and schools to reuse cups. The project was sucsseful in educating and reducing the amount of single-use takeaway coffee cups going to landfill from our Grey Lynn community.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Recycling

E Waste Recycling

This is a group that was started by Grey Lynn 2030 but was passed onto Echo who now run e-waste collections and activities for Grey Lynn and other locations. More details of Echo can be found over here.

Echo hosts more than 50 E-days each year at handy locations throughout Auckland. These drive-through community collection days provide an opportunity for locals to divert their old or unwanted electronics, helping them from ending up in landfill.
