Trash to Trade
TRASH TO TRADE was a Grey Lynn 2030 upcycling platform where people showed their talent by transforming business waste into something attractive and usable.
The upcycling concept is deeply embedded in the framework of sustainability, addressing the climate crisis and environmental problems like waste going to landfill.
The platform grew out of a Trash to Trade Competition organised in 2018. Since then we held successful events in May 2019 and October 2019.
What is upcycling?
Also known as creative reuse, upcycling is the process by which waste materials are transformed into new materials or quality products of environmental value. The upcycling concept is deeply embedded in the framework of sustainability, addressing the climate crisis and environmental problems like waste going to landfill.
