Green Screen
Green Screen was one of Grey Lynn 2030’s first initiatives. It offered a forum for the community to come together on current issues through watching documentaries which showcased award-winning New Zealand and international films of interest. The large majority of the films shown held an environmental message, with healthy audience discussion following each session. Local guest speakers were invited to talk afterwards to further the discussion and conversation around sustainability and resilience within our community.
Started in 2009, this initiative ebbed and flowed over the years running bi-monthly in 2018. Green Screen sparked inspiration and action within the community, and is something Grey Lynn 2030 is open to revive when there is new interest. If you are a movie lover with a keen interest in environmental issues or know somebody that would be, we would love to hear from you. infogreylynn2030@gmail.com
